History of Building
Anderson Grove Elementary School, home of the Quails, opened in 1985 to meet the needs of the expanding Papillion La Vista Community Schools district. Named after the historically significant Anderson Grove community, the school proudly displays green and silver as its colors.
Since its opening, Anderson Grove has undergone several updates to keep pace with educational advancements and growing enrollment. A major renovation in the late 1990s expanded the school, and the 2018 Bond project brought significant improvements, including enhanced safety and security, new classrooms, and expanded kitchen facilities.
Known for its strong reading programs and commitment to inclusive education, Anderson Grove has also pioneered outdoor learning spaces and nature-based initiatives within the district. These programs align well with the school's Quail mascot, encouraging students to appreciate the natural world around them.
Anderson Grove Elementary embodies the district's motto to "Be Known for Greatness" through its innovative educational approaches and continuous facility improvements. This commitment to excellence was recognized when Anderson Grove became the first elementary school in the district to receive the prestigious Purple Star status. The school's We Serve Too Club has been particularly impactful for students from military families, providing support and understanding for the unique challenges they face.
By blending respect for community history with modern teaching methods and a strong support system for all students, Anderson Grove continues to provide a unique, enriching experience that develops well-rounded, high-achieving students prepared for future success.
